OCEaN is delighted to welcome a new Member: The German Network for Wind Energy – WAB e.V.
The Offshore Coalition for Energy and Nature (OCEaN) is a coalition of NGOs, wind industry and transmission system operators, who joined forces in late 2020 to cooperate on the sustainable deployment of offshore wind, while ensuring alignment with nature protection and healthy marine ecosystems.
In November 2021, the group welcomed a new Member: The German Network for Wind Energy – WAB e.V. – as a new Member of the coalition.
On this occasion, Heike Winkler, Managing Director of WAB e.V. said: “We are happy to join the Offshore Coalition for Energy and Nature to tap the full potential of offshore wind in the North and Baltic Seas sustainably, ensuring alignment with nature protection and healthy marine ecosystems. A close dialogue among stakeholders will help achieve this goal.”
Bremerhaven-based WAB is the nationwide contact partner for the offshore wind industry in Germany and the leading business network for onshore wind energy in the north-west region.
